District Dir Upper is also connected to district Swat via Badgoye Pass. The Badgoye Pass is one of most good-looking and appealing pass in KPK, which has gigantic meadows and blossom-full gardens. The pass remains closed from November to April due to heavy snow fall on the top. The Pass was the only pedestrian route between the Kohistanian of Swat and Dir.

So, the Kohistanian of both the region were travelling through this pass by afoot. As now the road had been constructed, the folk travel through jeeps.

The pass is delivered through very beautiful areas and many tourist travels through the pass to Kalam and from Kalam to Kumrat Valley and JAZ Banda.
