Katoora Lake is one of the largest and beautiful lakes in Jehaz Banda as well as in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is surrounded by the snow covered mountain. The lake is in round shape and contained beautiful flowers and greenery in its premises.
The lake was famous due to many folk stories in the past. The people in past believe that on every Friday a utensil used for drinking water called “KATOORA” in Pashto appear and due to this fiction story it is named as “KATOORA Lake”
Besides KATOORA Lake there are other many small lakes present in Jehaz Banda. KATOORA lake always remain frozen which create an amazing view for Nature Lover who every year visit this magical lake.
